The open secret the rich are begging you to bank on
We hate bankers and lawyers come at a close second. But something in the stream tipped me off to where they’re money is trending toward these days. So, should we really “Occupy” our time, bitching about the 1%?
Or do we take the time to see where the world is spinning toward and set our sails there? Now that the rich have “all the money”, these poor souls have to tell you they want. And they speak with dollars.
Follow the money, not the spender. Somewhere in their lofty spending habits, the rich hide the keys to a cash strapped city. Often, they don’t realize it.
Gerald Celente speaks of it. The hint is in his dapper appearance. Over at the Trends Institute, he’s all about, “alle romana et alla antica”. Michael Andrews, a custom tailor in NoHo, puts it in plain English:
“Ready-to-wear is an inventory game … you have to predict what you’re going to sell. With us, once you put the credit card down, we’re just getting started.” – Michael Andrews Bespoke
Andrews is going to figure out exactly what his bankers and lawyers want, and provide it in the most authentic fashion possible. We can all get along with that kind of treatment in a number of businesses. Would we not want to create that in our own neighborhood? Do we have that now? Why not?
And here you thought this business was about “us” versus “them. You dirty hippy.
Watch (President Obama shit on) The Throne
![]()
President Obama the single most powerful executive officer in the history of this nation. As such, he puts his peers in CHECK. Kanye West and Jay Z throw out an album, establishing The Throne, but Obama unseats Kanye,
“He is a jackass … But he’s talented.” – President Obama, The Atlantic
BOOM roasted. I just needed to get this clip into the records, no tip here. Except, trust in private enterprise … don’t get caught up in no throne. It’s the American way.
Are you gettin’ PAID on prom night?
Prom night. For some, it’s a sick joke. For others, it’s a golden opportunity. Both parents and businesses see American teens the exact same way, each feeding each other’s demands in the prom market; cash for premature materialism. Visa reports that spending is up across the board, with lower income families spending higher than upper income families.

“This is social-arms-race spending. It’s extreme,” says Jason Alderman, director of Visa’s financial education programs.”
“Going to a national chain and getting the same dress that 18 other girls have is not a chance for me to differentiate myself or express my individuality, which is such an important part of my social experience today.” - Jatlow Levy, retail strategist
Some say the dresses are too scandalous (it really depends on the student). That’s another can of worms. Look, if you think because you passed chemistry you deserve to party like a rockstar, and your parents throw down the cash, hey … it’s your recession.
But, I didn’t go to prom. What do I know, right? “What do you think?”, is the real question.
We all need to get off our ass and export
All of us merchants, that is. Hey, if you’re five years old, stay in school. But if you’re the parent of a five year old and he’s got an itch to make money or you got bills piling up, consider exporting. Spread the culture of commerce and trade into the future. Huddling up, shutting down, and settling for low wages just ain’t the answer when we have all these money problems. Continue reading
